My Econoline bit the dust so to speak after i hit a huge puddle of water got up in the engine, but it still starts and revs/idles fine. When I put her in drive/reverse and can go a bit with no probs until i give her too much gas and she tries/does die on me. i thought maybe fuel filter...blew a spark plug... water in carb(unlikely)... or water got inside the muffler via to the engine and i am screwed...will someone help me at least find the damn fuel filter??? thanks..
In many of the reputable auto parts stores in my area there is an air filter displayed that claims to increase horse power and gas mileage possibly up to 15% or much more. Then every time the air filter gets dirty you need to spray it with this substance which will rejuvenate the filter for continual use.
This air filter sounds too good to be true yet these are reliable parts stores. I'm wondering if such an air filter would be helpful for my Suburban.
TIA, Frank C.
