2000 focus new timing belt?

i have a 2000 ford focus with 109k miles on it. i took my cam gear cover off to check the condition of the belt and i saw very small rips and tears on one side. i think i need a new belt soon and i think these belts only last around 50k miles and i dont know if its ever been changed. so do i need a new one right away or could i get away with it for another couple weeks.

Change it now this relatively inexpensive job could turn into a nightmare if it breaks. It's can be a fidely job to do but take your time, paying special attention to line up the timeing marks.Support the tensioner slide the odl one off new one on,Good Luck.
