GM steering wheel audio control buttons
#1

I have a 1999 Grand Prix GT. Recently the lights went dark inside the steering wheel audio control buttons on both sides.
They still function perfectly otherwise. I checked the fuses near the glove box and they were good.
Is there anything else I should be checking or do the lights in these buttons have a tendency to just burn out?
How easy is it to change these buttons? I'd prefer to have them lit if at all possible since I drive at night most of the time.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Quite often, we see this problem. The bulbs/led's inside the switches go bad. And that means you have to replace the switch since those bulbs/led's are non-servicable. On your car, I beleive they just push into the steering wheel. So you will need to "dig" them out with a pocket screwdriver, or a small screwdriver. Be careful when doing so, so you don't damage the appearance of the steering wheel.
