Turn signals/hazards won't work

For some strange reason, my turn signals or hazard lights won't come on. (1997 Chrsler Sebring, LXi) Even when I turn them on, the inside light will not even blink. I'm thought it was the fuse???? A co-worker told me it may be the "flash unit" but I have no idea what that is. Does anyone know what this may be? Is this something my husband can do? Will it be expensive?

Thanks for any insight!!

Most cars have two flashers, one for the turn signals and another for the hazard lights. They are on seperate fuses.
The flashers are plug in units, easy to replace once they are located, and inexpensive compared to most car parts.
On a 1997 car, the first thing I would check is the bulbs. They could have gone out one by one without you realizing it until nothing is working. Second, check fuses, and finally replace flashers, if necessary.
