shifter problems

I have a 1998 Buick Regal v6-3100.

Today I parked it on an incline and ever since the shifter is extremely hard to take out of park. In all other gears it works smoothly but when it is in park i almost have to hit it down with my hand or it will not disengage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your car has the 3800 engine, and has the shift interlock feature. Maybe the cable is out of adjustment, or the shift interlock is acting up. It's hard to say without seeing what its doing in person, but these are my 2 guesses.
