Stalling Engine

My 1985 Toyota Corolla (4AC 1.6L SOHC) stalls out shortly after starting. It may idle a little bit (decent rpms), but, as soon as I touch the gas it stalls.

Where do I begin my troubleshooting?

First check the little sight glass in the side of the carburetor; you should see the fuel level at about the midpoint of the glass. Higher or lower and the float may need adjustment.

Next look down the carburetor throat while you actuate the throttle linkage a couple of times. You should see a strong stream of fuel squirting inside the throat. If not, possible bad accelerator pump in the carburetor.

Also probably a good idea to double check all the vacuum hoses/connections.
