Chevy PU Electrical Problem

I have a 96 Chevy 2500 PU that I bought new. Over the years I have had a continuous problem where it burns out the tail light/break light board on the driver side. I have replaced this board about seven or eight times and it works for a while and then burns out. Anyone have any idea as to what would be causing this kind of a problem.

Are you buying the OEM part from the dealer? About the only thing that can burn these up is excessive heat. I would suspect that either the new part is not getting a good ground or the wiring connector is bad to this board. Replace the wiring connector and check the ground and buy the OEM part for a long term fix.
