'99 Windstar E-brake Adjustment

'99 Windstar Cargo Van 3.8 Liter AutoTrans
The parking/E-brake isn't doing much of anything brake-wise
Is the adjuster at the lever? doesn't look like much room under that cover
Or do I need to adjust it by cable underneath?
Or something else?
Thank you in advance

First thing you do, is make sure the rear brakes are adjusted at the drums. Most of the time, thats all that treally needed. Self adjusting brakes never work. If the brakes are adjusted up correctly, then their should be a nut at the end of the cable inside the housing on the floor. Just turn the nut.

Thanks badblazer73
It's finally stopped raining (we've had the second wettest October in a 100 years) so I can finally tighten everything up
There is only a boot on the floor, so I would've look underneath the van for the adjuster
I'm sure you saved me some time under there looking for something that's not there
Thanks again

Hmmm...not on this one
I think the cable was off track, as I seemed to have fixed it
I haven't done a real test, but so far it seems like it's working
I didn't see any cables at the rear brakes (that I could follow to an adjuster), so I'm pretty curious as to how these are adjusted
