ford explorer wheel bearings replacement

My girlfriend has a 94 ford explorer and I think the front right wheel bearings are shot. There was a lot of noise coming from the front end so I jacked up the car, pulled the wheel off and took a look. I thought the brake pad may have fallen off or come loose. The brakes were in tact but the disc would not spin freely. I had to force it to spin it around and it made grinding noises. To me, it appears that the bearings are blown. I've never replaced the bearings before and want to know how it's done. I hear it's easy but want to make sure I'm not getting in over my head. It is a 4wd also, if that makes a huge difference.

4WD............big difference. Are you sure it's not the CV joint? Grinding noise or clicking?
