heat in car does not get warm

2 yrs ago my heat was not working and i changed the thermostat. worked fine, again it was not getting warm so i changed thermostat. Now it does not get warm. it seemed to start getting warmer and then cooled down.

i have not checked the antifreeze or water level, however i thought i heard someone tell me once before that if you did not have enough anti freeze this may cause your heater not to get warm ?? any one ?

I would double check to make sure you are installing the correct thermostat, check the fluid level also.

Unless you live in an extremely cold area, use a 50-50 water-antifreeze mix. Also see if there is a bleeder valve on top of the thermostat housing. The system may need to be " burped".

I had a similar problem with my car and I got the cooling system back flushed and worked fantastic after that. Heat was fantastic
