Post Steering Wheel Alignment

The steering wheel on my vechicle is cockeyed. When I turn the steering wheel to the normal straight position the vechicle veers to the left. Does anyone know what causes this and how it can be fixed.

steering wheel alignment

Several things could be causing it. First have the car thrust aligned professionally. It could be the alignment itself, or it could go deeper by being a bent tie rod. Have them check the steering box and pitman arm while they are at it. Unless you have had the steering wheel off for any reason, removing it and realigning it would be the last thing I would do.

How long has it been like that? Did it just happen one day, always been like that or did it happen after the vehicle hit a bump? If it has always been that way prob had the front end alligned with the stering wheel off center, If a bump was hit then you need to look at the above post. If it just happened for no reason then check your tires, a bad front tire can make the sterring wheel be off.
