Get yourself some silicone grease,NOT CAULK,at your local auto store and follow the directions on the product. Typically, you put a small amout on all the rubber surfaces. Be careful as too much has a way of getting on your clothes.

Living in Canada it happens to us often, especially after washing your truck or car, we use a light coating on the rubber seal of vaseline, its inexpensive and seems to work well, It also keeps the rubber seal plyable, replace of course after washing vehicle.
The above suggestion is great and will work too.
