How do I seperate the fan from water pump

I removed my water pump but can not get the fan clutch off. There is one nut which attaches directly to the pump, but I can't get it loose. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

The best way to do that is with the pump still on the vehicle, but since you have it off already, Do you have the correct size wrench for the large nut on the fan? If so then put some type of holding device, I use a pry bar or large screwdriver, whatever you can get in there, in where you can hold the shaft of the pump and then use your wrench to loosen the fan. They can be very tight, but it will loosen. Be sure that you are turning the correct direction. Some fans have reverse threads.
Hope this is helpful to ya,
Billy
