1992 GMC Suburban ABS Light On

The ABS Light comes on at speeds over 15 mph in my suburban, abs brakes do not work at all regardless of light on/off.
Probably the speed sensors ? Ideas welcome

Thanks a lot

93 similar problem

I am having similar problems on my fathers 93 Suburban.
I now believe that when he was stuck in the laneway in deep packed snow, that I wheel sensor wire got pinched and broken causing the system to shut down.
I am glad it happened because the brakes were garbage after the system quit working and my father called me.
I found the rear shoes way out of adjustment, a front caliper almost totally seized, and air in the system.
After I get the system up to par I think I will pull the fuse from time to time to disable the system so I know how the brake system is.
I think the ABS does a lot of compensating for things and can hide problems which should be looked at.
Good luck

Good luck
ABS does nothing of the sort for mechanical or imagined troubles.
