92 Ford Ranger 2WD

Hello people,

We have some icy roads and I slammed my truck sideways hard into a curb. Now it looks like my rear tire is wobbling around like crazy. I thought I just wrecked the rim. I put on my spare tire and I still have the same problem.

Have I damaged the axle?
Any ideas on what needs to be done or what I need to check out first?

thanks in advance,

From your description it does sound like you bent the axle. Should be fairly easy to see visually. Might try jacking up and removing the tire/wheel to get a better look at the angle of everything. Support the vehicle with jack stands, put it in neuatral and manually turn the offending side. You should see the wobble in the shaft fairly easily from what you describe.
