Smile Pontiac Grand Am Window Handle

Help me I am a very amateur do it yourselfer. I am trying to replace the passenger door window and I have almost removed the inside panel but I cannot figure out how to remove the window handle. Please point me in the right direction.

It should be held on by a simple spring clip. Easiest way to remove is to get a removal tool at any auto parts store. They are usually very inexpensive.

Some Fords use a screw to hold the handle on. If this is the case pry the "cover" off using a screwdriver on the base (the wide part connected to the door.) This will expose a screw. If it uses a spring clip like Goldstar mentioned, you can get the tool from a parts store for about $10. Or a shop rag works good. Slide the rag in between the door panel and window handle and slide around until clip comes off.

Like was said if you have a clip style a shop rag works well.
