cutlass ciera turn signal flasher

Hi, I have a 1993 Olds Cutlass Ciera and I can't find the turn signal flasher. Chiltons says it is at the base of the steering column. It is nowhere to be seen.

Yes I did and it is not there. I have the entire kick panel accross the bottom the dash removed, I lowered the steering column and removed the glove box to no avail. I can here the emergency flasher clicking up behind the pcm behind the glove box but still can't see it(emergency flasher). I have followed lots of wires without success. Any help is appreciated.

Look under the dash, between the diagnostic plug-in and the steering column. Some GM cars had them there.

Thanks alot but it is not there. I think the guy or gal that assembled this interior hid the thing. I don't have an olds dealer in GWS and everybody else says bring it in and we'll find it. Could it be somewhere else?

If it is the turn signal flasher that is out. Turn on your hazards and use your ear to find that flasher. The turn signal flasher should be near by.

Finding 1993 Olds Cutlass Ciera turn signal flasher

I have the exact same vehicle. The flasher can be found behind the ashtray in the center of your dashboard. Pull the ashtray all the way out. Mine has an accessory light on the left side of it that the bulb rotates a half a turn and comes out so you can get the tray all the way out. After that, there are four small screws that hold the ashtry mounting bracket in. Remove those screws to remove that mounting bracket. As the bracket starts to come out look for the turn signal flasher to be clipped to the right side of the ashtray mounting bracket. There you go.
