Unhappy 96 infiniti I30 won't start

My 96 I30 will not turn over. The lights and electric seem to work. I made sure it was in park, but nothing. The "OD" light is on. I am going to disconnect the battery and maybe the computer will reset. Any ideas.

If you can get access to the starter, have someone hold the key in crank position and hit/tap the starter with a hammer or suitable tool and see if it's starts/turns, if it does, your starter is going south.

possibly battery

I had a similar problem, my car would not start but all the lights were working. I started it up in neutral and then had my battery changed. The battery wasn't dead but it was old (it had never been changed) and needed to be changed.
