96 Maxima, radio/dash panel removal

I am trying to figure out how to take out the radio, and or the center part of the dash area where the heater/a/c controls are, cigarette lighter, etc. The radio is a replacement (not factory), and I cannot figure out how to get it out. I can take out the cigarette ligher and ash tray, but the rest of the console area won't move. Are there screws somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

Take a flat end screwdriver and pry open at bottom of center ac vents, slip that out the way and the rest you will be able to figure out yourself.

Curto O, thanks for replying. I figured it out yesterday. You are correct, pry out the plastic frame around the 2 vent openings, it gets you access to the 2 screws holding the top part of the cluster in place. You pry open the cover surrounding the transmission shifter, take out the ash try and get access to the 2 screws holding the bottom end of the cluster. Need to be carfeful not to crack any of the plastic. Thanks.
