Question oil low

My low oil light comes on when I start my car. I have checked the oil and it is right where it should be, but this problem started shortly after an oil change. If I turn off the car the light will not come back on when I restart it. I drive a 95 Lumina, any suggestions on what I should check? Can I drive the car with the light on or could it be something malfunctioning where there may be a problem if I don't restart it for the light to be off?

Where did you get work done. If at a shop take it back. But it is most likely oil sending switch is dirty or faulty. Or not the right oil filter for engine.

Ditto, do you happen to know the brand of oil filter they used? Or can you look? Oil filters are known to fail, but it is rare.
