Voltage Drop

What could cause such a voltage(from 14 to 11)when i push the brakes?

it on a 91 grand am 2.5l

Brakes takeing to much power (short) or alternator is weak under load.

Need more info

What is voltage at idle? Does it only do it when brakes are pushed? Do you have a trailer connection?

alt was tested and it tested good under a load, batt is good to. could it be the brake switch

at idle its 14.3, when the blinker is on the voltage drops about a volt, no trailer connection

That close to norm. check all engine and body grounds.
