tranny filter, easy to change?
If I need to change the tranny filter, could it be something that a handy person can handle?

what kind of car ? older models are a lot easier just take fluid pan out, let fluid drain, remove old filter ( may or may not have a couple bolts/nuts holding it in place) put new filter in, remove old gasket form pan ,clean real good , use a wire brush if necessary, put new gasket in place using a good adhesive ( sold at local autoparts store ) and put pan back in place do not overtighten bolts and use a cross pattern, refill with approved Tranny fluid .( anything between 2 to 5 quarts depending on car ).
