NEED HELP W/1990 Dogde Dynasty

A couple of things if not related? First it is overheating and I was going to change the thermostat but I noticed fans are not coming on. Is there a fuse to check? Next electric windows are not working and they both seem to happen at the same time. Please help with a few suggestions. Thank you.

you should check the fuses under the hood, instead of fuses it may use fusible links which is similiar to a wire that is designed to burn into, usually they are all located near the battery if fusible links you can pull on them a little if they stretch and break they are bad.

Thank you beejay I have check all of the fuses that I can tell by looking at. Are any of the black square ones that you can't really tell, related to the electric windows or the radiator motor fans?

those are relays and while one or 2 of them may be used for the cooling fan it does not go to the windows if you have an under hood fuse box and there is not any large fuses that can be checked usually by just looking at them they are generally twice the size of a fuse you would find under the dash or in glove box if they are none that size it will have fusible links along the wiring loom they will not be in a box.
also should probably check the fan by running a power wire to it or testing for power and ground to the fan with a test light to make sure that it is ok.

I bought a test light and as far as I can tell there is no power to the fan motors I have yet to try and follow it backwards. The light did work right off the battery and to where the relay switch connects, so it works ( the light) Also do you know where the motor for the electric windows is located? They are not working either. My mother did not get an owners manual with this car.

Not 100% sure, but if it uses the same fan relay as the Caravan, they were EXTREMELY prone to failure.............so much so that an updated unit was developed

thanks there is power in the relay switch plug spot, so you think that maybe the power is not leaving there to get to the motors? There must be different motors cause they were both replace previously but if they run off of the same relay then that would possibly explain why they stop working at the same time. I am not too familiar with the electrical wiring, do you have any suggestions?
