jeep will not start

I have a 1994 jeep cherokee sport, that will not start. When I checked for spark There is none, and when I checked for power going to the coil the light would only stay lit as if I was checking for the fuel pump power. Is ther a fuse or relay that controls the power to the coil?

might check codes in the computer by cycling the key on ond off 3 times leaving it on and counting the engine light flashes it is kinda fast and you may have to do it a few times.
have you checked for sprk at the plug or coil you might want to check at the coil as a bad or weak coil will often have a little spark at the coil but not enough to ever reach the plug.
if you get a code 11 suspect crank sensor problem.
the coil will only have power for a couple of seconds after turning the key on while cranking the engine over it should have power if its getting a crank signal.
