key nor key clicker works anymore 97 ford escort

my key and also key clicker door opener stopped working changed batteries nothing happened

well obviously you got drunk at the party, now find out who you swapped key sets with and swap back, then we can work on some intervention/treatment solutions for the base problem.

i know yournot being a jackass are you? my ex took a slim jim to all of my doors thinking that the world was being hid from him.i took door panels off and found the same pieces of broken white plastic in bottom of door panels. .i kust wanted some imput okay.give me some damn credit atlesat im doing by myself or atleast trying . like i said this is my first time on her and not really impress thanks guys i see now that this is mainly for guys:mad-hell:ya know somthing else im probably as smart or smaRTER than most of you men out there.really guys does it piss you of that we dont ask you excuse me or beg you to do it for us

OK OK dont panic

Do this it works on my Ford.get in car and with door open and key in ignition switch turn to on and off 8 times (dont start) and do it fast OK your door lock will go up or down at this time push button on clicker.You have just reset your clicker Try it and see how it works.
The important thing is to do it fast with door open but dont start.
You will hear and see door plunger move.

OK good luck let us know if it works it does on my 2000 ford.I learned it from the dealer as I had same problem and I was also stumped.
