adhesive removal...

I have a F-150 that the emblem on the front fender flew off. There is a adhesive left ther that I would like to remove but not sure what to use that will not take the paint off as well. Any suggestions????

Thanks

3M makes a General Adhesive Removal solvent that has worked well in my automotive uses. Keep some handy for the rest of the parts that will fall off that Ford! :.)

It has been years since I bought some but I believe I did get mine at an automotive supply store. I have also used it successfully on cloth interiors that had oily dirt on it but please test it on an out of sight place before using it. It's great stuff with alot of useful applications.

Try lighter fluid (naptha). It won't harm the finish. Also the wife uses Goo Gone - I think that's the name - to remove adhesise price stickers.
