Exclamation 1 out of 12

Changing transmission fluid filter on a 05 Nissan Sentra. All but one bolt came out without a hitch. But that one will just sit and spin, with some resistance, but will not attempt to back out at all. Put the bolts back on old filter, put on new gasket and replaced the pan. Talked to Nissan dealer. Says they don't even recommend changing filter. Just have it flushed every 25 to 30K. Said if you try to get the bolt out you could loosen some filings since the housing is aluminum and that would cause serious problems!!! Is there a safe way to get the bolt out or should I just never try to change the filter again?

Remove valve body from trans and hold nut on top side of valve body while extracting bolt..........When reassembling pay STRICT attention to torque spec ( in INCH lbs) or you'll wind up with a trans with erratic or no shifts
