ford focus, efi?

ford focus, efi?

hi,

my gf has a 2003 ford focus se wagon. it has a v-tek engine, not sure if its 2.0, or 2.3L. she said it doesnt have efi, i belive it does, but its dark, and i dont want to look at it right now, but for aruments sake, did ford make a focus that yr, that woundnt have efi? sorry to ask before looking at the engine, but im almost certain carbs r a thing of the past!

If Ford's building anything with a carburetor on it anymore (for sale in any developed nation), it would be a surprise to me.

yes, its fuel injected the 2.0L Zetech engine was the standard engine on that year wagon. Producing 130 bhp and 145 ft. lb. of torque

2003 focus vtech 2.0

hi,
ty u for the info. now 130 bhp, is that the hp delivered at the flywheel?, and not the drive wheels? if so, the hp at the drive wheels would be somewhat less, correct? still not bad for a 4cyl! it is a snappy little ****!

yeah, thats the maximum horsepower the engine can produce. Power at the wheels is usually 5%-15% below that.

It might be easier to say " yes hunnie, it probably is your carb messing up"

i gave her $50 and told her to have her hair done, and i never heard anything about a carb since! lmao!

P.S i peeked under the hood, funny little tubie thingies going to the engine...hmmmmm
