Truck Ramps

Hi: We'd like to buy ramps for our sons Ford 150 truck. It would seem that longer is better. What are common lengths 7', 8',9'?
Aluminum or steel? Folding or not? Whats a fair range of prices?
Never done this before so any and all input welcome. Thanks

The first thing we need to know to answer this question correctly is : What is your intended use for the ramps? 4 wheeler? motorcycle?

truck ramps

Hi: General purpose use. Should be able to support heavy loads as need dictates. Hope this helps.

you have to look at the ramps' capacity and decide if they're ok for the use you will give them, like if you're going to be loading just a lawn mower or an atv ...I bought a couple ramps for a bobcat at a trailer place for $ 300 a pair super heavy duty all steel and heavy as hell ( we have to use the bobcat to move them ) and that's cheap for this type but I guess you'll be ok with some aluminum ones from one of those big box home improvement places.

Thanks for the input. Guess I'll start at the big boxes and see what I can learn.
