Blower Motor

I have a 1988 Ford Ranger. I have lost all speeds, except for hi, on my heater blower motor. Is a resistor used to change speeds or is it changed some other way. I changed the motor several years ago, so I'm sure it is still good.

You should have one and it's probably located on the firewall near the passenger side. It could be on the blower housing, the evaporator housing or somewhere close by(assuming you have AC). I'd expect to find 4 wires coming from the connector. It should be screwed in and fairly easy to replace, they generally don't cost very much and generic parts would work fine.
