2004 Durango Ac compressor cut off and on

Hi Guys
I've been going to dealer since 2 years about my ac problem
The ac compressor engage and disengage all the time
and some time it's ok
they said there no problem when they check it.
I'm not stupid i had other truck and car with ac and had no problem.
last time they replace a valve and instal a cow with a fan in it and refill the freon
it's does the same thing
when you place on recycle or not the compressor lock and turns for about 3 seconds then unlocks and lock and unlock all the time and sometime it ok
what could it be??????????

With the ac on tap the sensor with a solid object thats on the compressor....it should kick on for a second....or for a while....if thats the case...you just need a new sensor....they are not expensive and are easily replaced.

does it still cool sounds like it has a leak that needs to be found and repaired usually when it cycles on and off quickly it is due to low freon.

it could be low freon or the pressure sensor. i would recommend going in to a shop and have them read your pressures with a manifold gauge set.

you can get a can of flourecent dye at the store, glasses, and light for like 20 bucks. Then look for anything glowing. I did it last year on my car.
