Nissan Sentra 2000

Hello Everyone,

I was looking to see if anyone could help me out with this. I have a Nissan Sentra 2000, 4 cylinders, 1.8 engine. 4 Oxygen sensors have been replaced, and the OBDII scanner shows code 171 and "fuel system open". The vehicle starts but does not stay running unless pressing the accelerator. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Check for vacuum leaks...
check timing and idle.
check plugs
reset codes by taking off neg. batt. terminal and holding brake down for 1 min.

As far as I know OBDII systems can't be reset disconnecting battery.

Disconnect Mass Air Flow sensor and see if it's idling.
