Cadillac AC problemI
I have a 98 Cadillac Deville with an AC problem. The fan works for a while and then stops. Both the fan and the compressor have been replaced. The unit was working fine for about a week. When the fan works, it sometimes stops blowing through the AC vents and jumps up to the defrost vent for a short period of time and then goes back to the AC vents. Any suggestions?

Find out where the thermal/current limiting switch is for the fan(I am assuming this is the passenger compartment fan to right). Maybe in the resistor pack or some where other than in the fan motor. You will need the schematics I don't know off the top of my head. Get a manual from an autostore
Also corroded wires and bad connections can cause an increase in current draw.
