97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Headlight

I am trying to replace the low beam headlight bulb on the passenger side of a 97 Eclipse 2.0 non-turbo.The manual says to remove the sealing cover, which I did. It then says to remove the clip. It is very non-specific. The clip looks like it might be screwed on but the space is very tight and I cannot see into the housing very well. I tried prying it but was afraid to use to much pressure. Has anyone ever replaced one of these bulbs before?

Thanks for any help
Sal

On the opposite end of the clip (from where the screw is) you will see a little loop. Push in towards the bulb on this loop and then push it away... up or down, depending on where it is, but should be up. This will release the clip and the bulb will practically fall out. Be sure to remember the orientation of the bulb as it will making putting it back in a PITA!!! Plus it will make the lights alignment off, if you are actually able to get the clip secured. Just reverse the procedure and you will be done.
Hope this is helpful to ya,
Billy
