Question how to install an oxygen sensor?

Can anyone tell me how to properly install an oxygen sensor in a 1993 Ford aerostar?

moorefien, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
Most of our experts are at work so I will give you a quick rundown on how to get it done. O2 sensors have a wire on them. It reqires a special socket to remove it. If you know the location of the sensor, you can rent or "borrow" the socket at Auto Zone. If you go to their website, it will also show you where it is located. You must register at the site to do this, but it is free. Good luck.

I would also suggest a can of some sort of penetrating lubricant...those things tend to get baked in there pretty good. A little lubricant can help get it out.

The other word of caution is to make sure you get the right one...some vehicles have four sensors and it can be difficult to tell which one is which.
