92 Dakota Battery being drained

I just purchased a 92 Dakota 2wd V6 with 76000 miles. The truck sat for over a year. While getting the truck ready for state inspection I notice the fuse for the horn and tach (same fuse) was missing. After installing new fuse the battery goes dead. I had the battery and charging system checked and is ok
I removed fuse and the battery will stay charged. Did anybody ever have a similar problem and may know what may be causing this.

You already had the hardest part figured it out. You know what circuit it is. Now you need to find out why by testing the components hooked up to that circuit to see which one is not turning off and why. You could have a high impedance short to ground corroded switch etc

arm your self with a current meter and get testing. buying the schematics will help you and us big time
