flashlight for emergencies

minibeam is a great choice for an emergency flashlight. any other recommendations

Soooooooo whats the problem we are to solve other than the one you had remedied by buying another flashlight instead of figuring out how the other one worked.

Shouldn't this be in the electrical forum

we aren't shrinks

I think the problem is that the member did not get the original light ready to use before they needed it. I guess they put the batteries in the new flashlight before they needed it. Thats why I prefer the "Shake and light" models.
Think the post was an ad anyways.

I saw that "shake and light" at local store and though I'd give it a try, I noticed lots of funny looking faces of people walks by when they saw me holding a tube about two inches in diameter and about 9 inches long smiling and keep shaking it , honestly, I really don't know what they are thinking though. , I ended up put it back and left.

I have one of those hand generator powered flashlights in my truck. It works just fine and no batteries to worry about
