I think the problem is the Oil Pressure Sending Unit gets dirty, you can try to clean it out but I'd rather replace with new one. How does the engine run, is there any knocking noise from engine?, 3.3 , 3.8 are known good engine.

Possibly just the age of the beast, too; wear on the oil pump and bearings will eventually be noticeable with a lower pressure.

I agree with tow guy it may be just too much for a 3.3 V6 engine, also purolator is definetely not the best filter out there.

At 151k miles I would drive it and keep the oil changed as usual until it dies.
