Maxima Side mirror

I have 1997 Maxima GLE.
The right hand side mirror is broken.
I called the dealer and they are quoting Parts ($205) and Labor ($120).

I checked the same part on Ebay for $52 ($36 part and $16 shipping)

My question is can I get this part from ebay and Fix it myself?

How easy to fix?

Appreciate you help on this.

thanks

The hardest part is taking the inside of the door off and mirror should just be a few bolts.

Pretty easy job; and the sounds like about the right price for an aftermarket.

Where the mirror is mounted on the outside of the door, look directly opposite on the inside. there should be a trim piece of some type that will either snap off or may have a fastener of some sort holding it on. Once that's removed the mirror attaching screws/bolts will be visible.

Thanks for the reply.
I tried to take of the casing. 2 plastic pins snapped off without any issue. But looks like there is a screw comes from outside of the door holding the case and I am not sure how to unscrew this.

Please someone help me!

thanks

I can open 2 push clips on the upper side of the interior panel and looked inside and but the lower part of the interior panel has a some kind of threaded screw. I don't know where the head of that screw is.

Usually it's near the handle. Sometimes they cover the head of the screw with a plastic plug. Do you see any circular seams in the plastic? If so, use a small pic and pop the plug out.
