95 Chevy Corsica 2.2L (V4) Belt

I have a 1995 Chevy Corsica, 4 cyclinder. I changed out the alternator yesterday but am having a bit of trouble getting the belt back on. From what I understand is that my type of car should have a spring loaded tensioner, but I am not sure how to apply pressure

Resources are sort of confusing:

Am I to push on the tensioner to losen the belt or is there a place to allow me to crank it with some stiff object?

Thank you much,
Nug

One of two methods normally. Some cars have a built in 1/2" square hole for a 1/2" drive breaker bar. The others you simply put a wrench on the bolt head in the center of the pulley and turn, usually clockwise.
