99 Chevy Blazer, trans problem?

Recently we've been experiencing the following:

At steady cruising speed, rpm guage will begin to jump slightly, and you can feel the slight pulsing in the vehicle speed. Yesterday, on a 200 mile trip, this happened 2 or 3 times.

The trans was replaced at 90,000 miles with a rebuilt. Now has 155,000. Is this the writing on the wall for this trans? Or might a routine flushing fix it? And should I even bother paying for a flush if the trans is about to go?

Thanks,
Brian

I would wait on the service to figure out if the problem is inside the transmission, fluid changes are great maintanence and if it turns out to be a real transmission problem then the new fluid would have to be drained.
Is it possible you have an engine miss? This could affect the T.C.C (torque converter clutch) causing it to engage then disengage repeatedly. This could account for the pulsing.
