1975 Chrysler New Yorker
With my Chrysler New Yorker I can turn the key over and I get nothing but if I leave the key turned over and jump the starter it will start. I'm not for sure what component of the starting system needs to be replaced. I have checked fuses and things of that nature to no prevail. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it won't start.

Your cables may be rusty at the connection points, what I would do is clean the cables or replace them if they look rusty, car is 30 years old. Check the condition of the battery and make sure it is fully charged, if it doesn't start then tap on the starter with a hammer and if it starts then its the starter.
