Brake pad replacement

We are replacing the rear brake pads and rotors and the breaks won't come apart. Is their a way to release them. We already pumped the breaks and we have already pushed the break release

What are you working on? Are the rear brakes disc or drum brakes?

Pumping the brakes will just tighten them up, it won't help to loosen them. Most cars have drum [and shoe] brakes on the rear but some have do have disc brakes front and back. Make sure the emergency brake isn't engaged.
