Electrical Problems, maybe

I have a '98 blazer, the problem, other than owning this thing in the first place, is the 4WD selector lights are out and the selector doesn't work, the battery light is on, the low fuel light is on, the fuel gauge reads empty (the tank is not), the gear indicator (RPD321) light is out, the volt gauge is not working.

I also get a grinding noise from the transfer case. This was happening before the 4WD selector stopped working and I could stop it by putting it into 4WD then taking it back out. The blazer has always had difficulty disengaging the 4WD after being in 4WD low.

Any idea's? I've already checked the fuses.

Update

I checked fuses again and I do have a blown fuse and it blows shortly after replacing it. It's the 4WD fuse, 15 in the dash block.

Since I was having problems with the 4WD I replaced the transfer case electric motor assembly. No change.
