'Brake light' on 2000 Dodge Stratus

This is not ABS.

Assuming the fluid level is ok, nothing unusual as far as stopping, pulling etc. Just what can the 'Brake light' indicate?

Check your brake light bulbs, including the center one.

Never though about the exterier lamps, but the light didn't stay on. It's my wifes car and she calledme after she got to work.
Would/could it be the parking brake??

Mmmm, possibly, not sure exactly what lights it on a Ford. Chased my tail for about an hour a while back on wife's previous Camry until I realized (DUH!) that the third brake light wasn't working; I had been concentrating on the two regular ones. Her current Camry has an intermittent warning light, but I'm pretty sure it's just a sticky switch on the parking brake so not eager to tear console apart.
