Question Belt Replacment on GM 3.1 V6 Oldsmobile

Please some one give me an answer or tips somthing My belt broke off and i need some help replaceing it. I've never done it by myself. so i could use a step by step or a how to, even if in your own words i just need to get my car moving again its a 90' Oldsmobile Cutlass Supream with a GM 3.1 V6 i know it shouldent be that hard but i still need peace of mind i dont want to mess it up thanx for the help

I was told it's as easy as losening one of the tensioners and slipping the new one on and tighting it back up-does that even sound right-would that work

It's also a good idea to replace the idler and tensioner pulleys if they haven't been replaced in a while. That way a week after you put the new belt on you won't have to buy another one when one of the pulley bearings fails.
