Windshield and Rear Window Replacement

Where cam I find detailed instructions on the rempval and replacement of these two?

I would think twice about doing it yourself. It's not as easy as changing your oil. It requires removing the old rubber seal around the whole window which requires some special tool. Also, window installers use a heated rubber based sealant to install new windows so there are no leaks. I would recommend not doing this yourself.

I tend to agree with hotinOKC for the windshield. The adhesives used are very specialized. The windshield is actually a structural member and if not done correctly can cause you problems.

Now if you are speaking of the 75 GMC van, the rear windows can be a DIY project. Since they are simple held in by their rubber seals, they can be done by a DIY'er with a piece of string to install them. Getting them out is a bit tougher but most of the time, they are broken so that elimates the removal problem.
