Changing alternator

Lightbulb Changing alternator

I have to replace the alternator in a 1991 olds calais. Need some help on proper procedure to do it. found the top bolt and got it out but having problems finding the other bolt and getting belt off. any suggestions

Replaced alt. on my cars but there should be a belt tensioner. The belt will not set into the pulley like the other pulleys say like the crank pulley or power steering pump pulley. It should be smooth and you'll need a pry bar to push down or pry up to to relieve the tension on the belt. It also may have a large spring between the pully and the engine. Hope this helps. Don't know anything about your vehicle so these are some things to look for.!!
