Each brush has its own application. There are natural bristle brushes used by detailers. Soft synthetic feathered bristled brushes for tires. Super soft bristled brushes safe for clear coat. Some have bumpers so you do not damage car. Wash brushes with flow-through handles. Some brushes are marketed as wheel, fender, body brushes. There are spoke brushes. There are packages of brushes for a variety of purposes. The trick is to find the one(s) that meet your needs. Soft brushes are best to prevent damage. Visit a local auto supply store or visit some websites that offer brushes for detailers.

My dad and I have been detailing cars for 15+ yrs now and we have never used a brush on the paint!! That alone will get you into trouble. I don't care if these brushes say they are made for paint. I don't trust them plus you get a better detailing job by using ur hands(sponges)!! We have used them on tires which is fine.
