squecky brake pads?

squecky brake pads?

03 dodge stratus squeckly pads replaced w/ new ones spayed with anti squik and greased them the rotors look perfect. but still noisy whats the problem?

Some pads will squek even if they are new. It can be annoying and I feel your pain. What usually happens is that when someone puts new pads on without turning the rotors, the new pads and rotor will glaze over causing the nosies. It is recommended you get the rotors turned if possible to avoid this. Also, check that little metalic tab that rubs the rotor when pads are low is not out of whack.

If the pads aren't glazed yet you can sometimes stop the noise by roughing up the rotors with some pretty coarse sand paper. Have a nice day. Geo
